Monocle's search and Collections interfaces have been translated into the languages below.

Which interface language appears?

When the page loads, search and Collections use the language declared in its HTML tag, such as <html lang="de"> for German. If that value is missing or blank, we use the page language detected during crawling. We do not use the visitor's browser language. If the selected language is unsupported, or no language is available, we use English.

The preview language in the web address takes priority over the HTML language.

Preview an interface language

To see how Czech looks, add ?mnc-language=cs to a page's web address and reload it. For example:

https://example.com/about?mnc-language=cs

Use any language code from the table above. If the address already contains a ?, add &mnc-language=cs instead.

Remove the added text and reload the page to return to automatic language selection. This preview does not change your site's settings.
